This week Walgreens has BIC Triump pens (2pk) on sale for $1.99.  Use the $2/1 coupon in today’s (1/9) newspaper or this $2/1 printable to pick up some for FREE.

Your cashier should decrease the value of the coupon down to $1.99 as that is the cost of the item.  Depending on your Walgreens...the cashier may not want to decrease the value of the coupon to $1.99...I've had this issue with the Walgreens in Delaware, so don't head there!

*update, my Hubby just got back from Walgreens and tried the 4 Hallmark wrapping papers, 2 Hallmark Tissue paper and the $5 register reward did not print.  I can't confirm as I wasn't there, but it may have been that the machine that prints the coupons wasn't working, or Walgreens may have pulled the deal.  At times, if a store sees that you can make $3 on 6 items of tissue paper, they change their system so it will not print.  Just wanted to let you all know so that you're aware of it!  Hopefully the machine just wasn't working correctly, as we just did this deal last night and it worked!

Now, you're probably wondering why anyone would need so much wrapping...isn't there such a thing as too much.  (I don't think so as you can always give it away!)  We are having a birthday party for my son today...and we just invite families until our kids are in school.  Well, I go a little crazy with parties sometimes and like to have a theme and of course something for everyone that comes.  So as I was running around yesterday with no thank you gifts and almost in a panic, I had a wonderful thought...since it's so close to Christmas give everyone wrapping paper, tissue paper and name stickers!  Yay, not only is it cute, but it's cheap!  (Now I know my sister reads my blog, so just disregard the "cheap" part of your gift!)

Remember at Walgreens you cannot use the Register Reward to buy the same items that printed your Register Reward as another coupon will not print. Okay, I don't know that what I said makes sense, let me put it another way, if you want to do 2 transactions with the Hallmark deal, do not use your Register Reward coupon that you received on the 1st order to pay for the 2 order as you will not get another Register Rewards back.  Just pay out of pocket on both in order to get another Register Reward.

Finally, a Walgreens coupon policy!

If you've shopped at Walgreens any, you'll know that the managers and cashiers had no clue what their own coupon policy was and applied the coupons as they saw fit. Not only that, if you were to contact Walgreens they would tell you they didn't have a coupon policy online that anyone could access. Well, after many of phone calls nationwide, they finally have a coupon policy in place!

I recommend that you print the below and take it with you just in case you run into a cashier that is not aware of their new policy!  :c)


Here are a few highlights from the site:

• In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.
• When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.
• The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).

Walgreens paid $.34 and received $2 back for my next order

I ran to Walgreens with 3 kids in tow...I don't know why I do that to myself!!! With this deal your mileage may vay based on your cashier. The above Dentyne gum is just 3/$.99 when you use the July coupon book that is located in the store...just ask your cashier if you don't know what it is! Here's what I bought and the coupons I used:

this is where the cashier gave me the full $1 for each pack of gum and she stated that they get the full $1 from the Manufacturer so that's why she put in for the entire $1. Some cashiers will not do this so just beware

1 Reese Cup $.69 which was eaten on the way home...no wonder I can' t lose that baby weight!

The Dentyne coupons gave me overage so I paid just $.34 for all of the above and I recevied a catalina for $2 back towards my next order for buying 2 Twizzler packs!!

Walgreens has a hidden deal available on Hallmark cards! There is a Register Reward available when you purchase Hallmark cards– Buy 8 Hallmark Cards = $5 RR or Buy 4 Hallmark Cards = $2 RR. Well, it has been reported that the $0.49 kids’ cards (on the lower level of the card section) are working for this deal! Yay!

So here’s the deal:

Pullups/Walgreens deal

So if your little one is currently in Pullups there's a good deal at Walgreens this week...They are currently on sale for $8.99, plus in the Walgreens coupon book that is at the front of the store near the Walgreens ad, has a $2 coupon off Pullups. Plus you can use a manufacturer's coupon along with that!!

So I purchased 2 of the above Pullups for $8.99 each
used the $2 off each from the Walgreens book
plus I used (2) $3 coupons from here (the coupon states off any Huggies diaper purchase and my coupons went through just fine.)
I also purchased to small filler items as Walgreens is so finicky when it comes to having more coupons than items. In the end, I paid just over $9 for 2 packs of Pullups and 2 $.25 filler items! Not too bad!!!
